Training Material for Software TrainingAll intercultural communication overcoming borders and space needs technical solutions. To enable a proper exchange of knowledge and discussion of topics, the lecturers and students involved in the modules at various places have to make use of the internet based platforms. Two software training sessions have been held to enhance the multimedia competence of the lecturers and to allow them to set up the necessary technical framework relevant for a successful implementation of the modules. The ICCD project has developed its own software tutorials. These have been used during the training sessions and can serve as independent manuals as well. The software tutorials can be downloaded here.
Class pagesLocal class pages have been developed for two modules:
At the local class pages information about the modules in each country can be found. The class pages are updated by the country's lecturers. The class pages contain information about the current course, schedule, material, literature, reports, and a message board. The pages are provided in English. Some of the material might be in the country's native language.
Class pages archiveClass pages of completed modules can be found in the archive. Please note, that Message Boards are generally inactive in these class pages.
Direct access to single class pagesEach module covers one academic year. In Dresden, Limerick, and Beijing, due to the academic schedule of two terms per year, the modules were split and taught as Module 1.1 plus 1.2 and Module 2.1 plus 2.2 respectively. In Dhaka both modules were taught undivided.
Evaluation ReportInternal evaluations are done regularly to control the quality of the teaching modules. A questionnaire was developed and the results are analysed by the independent Institut Integrale e.V., Dresden. Evaluation Report IModule 1 was initially taught during the academic year 2004/2005, covering the winter and the summer terms at BIT, TUD and UL and during the year 2005 at DU. It was evaluated at the end of summer term 2005. The updated Evaluation Report I can be downloaded (pdf, 250 KB) here. The report includes:
