Documentation Civilization BoardGame – October 2008
Day 6
–The Late Iron Age and Final Results
Back to Main Page
We started in Turn 17, right before the Acquisition of
Civilization Advance Cards.
Turn 17 – The Celts lost a City in Flames, the Hatti
had superstitious slaves revolt and the Iberians a Civil Disorder.
Minoa
developed Medicine, the Celts Metalworking and Mythology, Assyria Masonry,
Babylon Metalworking,
Carthage
Mysticism, Hatti Pottery and Iberia Metalworking.
Turn 18 – A
four ship invasion force from Minoa attacked Carthage and Thapsus and revenged
the torrent of hatred shown by
Carthage
over the last 15 rounds. The stolen trade cards proved very important
afterwards.
After
trading Minoa had too much calamities, so the most devastating one, the Civil
War, was randomly chosen to be dropped.
Minoa
was hit by Squandered Wealth, Treachery and Barbarians. Iberia was hit by an
Earthquake. Egypt had a Tempest,
Assyria
had City Riots and Babylon had Coastal Migration.
Minoa
developed Politics and Mysticism, the Celts got Mining. Rome developed
Agriculture, Babylon got Architecture and
Carthage
developed Diplomacy and Masonry.
Minoa
were the first and only ones to step to the Late Iron Age.
Turn 19 – The
Minoans used their Roadbuilding to get a city back, lost by Treachery to
Babylon. They also invaded former Carthage territory
and
threatened four cities in Carthage by Politics, and also allowing only one city
rebuild. The Hatti attacked the old city of
Damascus.
All other nations stayed almost quite in this last attacking phase.
Only
one minor calamity was found, a Squandered Wealth in Iberia. But major
calamities hit almost everyone.
Treachery
in Assyria, Earthquake in Minoa, Famine and Slave Revolt in Iberia, Epidemic in
Carthage, Cyclone for the Celts and
Iconoclasm and Heresy for
Carthage again.
Finally Carthage was back
again to a poor civilization with nomadic people without any cities.
Athens
changed from Rome to Minoa due to Politics.
Minoa
developed Sculpture and Coinage, the Celts had Roadbuilding and Music, Assyria
and Hatti developed Agriculture,
Rome
and Babylon developed Empiricism, Carthage had Rhetoric, Egypt developed
Fundamentalism.
Finally
Minoa mad the last step on the AST and won the game.
