Documentation Civilization BoardGame – October 2008
Day 5
–The Early Iron Age Back to Main Page
We started in Turn 15, right before the Acquisition of
Civilization Advance Cards.
Turn 15 – Assyria
was hit by City Riots, Rome by Superstition, Egypt by Civil War with Hellas as
Beneficiary.
Egypt
had Barbarian Hordes also. Finally Hellas was hit by Epidemic.
Lots
of inventions: Road Building in Minoa, Masonry and Empiricism for the Celts,
Metalworks
for Assyria, Literacy for Rome and Hatti, Masonry for Babylon, Music for
Carthage,
Cloth
Making for Hellas and Agriculture for Iberia.
The
Minoans were the first to step to the Early Iron Age.
Turn 16 – Having
a new leader, the Babylonians started some expansion projects and attacked the
Assyrians.
Iberia
managed to run Rome out of the Iberian peninsula. 13 cities were build with a
result of almost 6 cities
per
civilization. But calamities stroke back, hitting the civilizations hard and
lowering the avarage city count to 5:
Rome
with Squandered Wealth, Iberia with Tempest. Minoa with Treachery, Hellas with
an Earthquake.
Carthage
had Famine, the Celts with Flood and Babylon with a Cyclone. Due to some
misinterpretations
his
masonry did not help at all.
Minoa
developed Mining, Celts and Babylon developed Engineering, Carthage developed
Sculpture and
Egypt
developed Agriculture.
The
Celts were the first civilization to follow the Minoans to the Early Iron Age.
Turn 17 – After
3 leaders leaving earlier, we managed to speed up and most of the remaining
civilizations did focus
on
development. Babylon was the only exemption attacking Assyria again very hard.
