The generation of a specific SoC hardware setup is simplified
by a Java application called JConfig. This application allows
the user to specify the SoC via graphical user interface and
generate an HDL design. SpartanMC peripherals are included
in JConfig via XML discription files. The result of this
generation process is a HDL top-level-design file which carries
out the instantiation of all components and a set of C header
files which allows the user to access all components through
symbolic constants.
Project Status
The development of JConfig 3 is in progress. Currently the a
version of JConfig 2 is included in the SpartanMC SoC-Kit.
